- Meet the founder -

Shalini Joshi

A true global citizen, Shalini grew up attending a boarding school in Jaipur, the Pink City of India. Part of her childhood was also spent in Nigeria post which she attended college in Delhi and began her professional career there. After marriage, she moved to Dallas, Texas - a place she has called home for the last 25+ years. Growing up among different cultures, traditions, languages and ways of life, Shalini, at a very early age, was immersed in the world of travel and discovery. From cosy winters exploring India, to sultry summers in Europe, Shalini’s curiosity for the world only grew leaps and bounds. Travel for her was her education –something she has passed on to her children as well.

Apart from travelling, Shalini started her career as a newspaper marketing executive and moved onto work with a Apna Ghar, a women’s shelter. Shalini is also a licensed realtor in Dallas and a spousal member of YPO and CEO as well. Shalini thrives on her interests which include mythology, India culture and Vedas, spirituality, women empowerment, and cooking (giving old recipes new form). And of course, Indian Cricket - how could any Indian forget that?

As naturally as travelling and discovering came to Shalini, so did curating the perfect journeys for her friends and family. She has always planned meticulously for her loved ones - from personalised experiences, to logistics, to advising on destination weddings and shopping trips. After many successfully planned, and seamlessly executed journeys for her loved ones, Shalini finally gave a name to it, one that’s here to stay – LUXE-INDIA
